Sally
Magnusson is a journalist, broadcaster and writer, much in
demand as an after-dinner speaker and conference and award
ceremony host. She presents a range of network programmes for
the BBC, including the hit series 'Missing', the 'Daily
Politics on Friday', the Royal Television Society
award-winning daytime strand and hard-hitting series,
'Britain's Secret Shame' and the ever popular 'Songs of
Praise', as well as anchoring Scotland's early evening news
programme 'Reporting Scotland'.
Sally also presents current affairs programmes for BBC Daytime
including 'Britain's Streets of Poverty', 'Britain's Streets
of Vice' and 'Britain's Streets of Booze'

She was born in Glasgow, studied
English at Edinburgh University and began her journalistic
career on The Scotsman, before joining the BBCs news and
current affairs department in London, where she presented
Breakfast News for many years.
Based now in Glasgow, she is the author of several of books,
including Family Life (Harpercollins), Dreaming of Iceland (Hodder)
and Glorious Things (Continuum).
As a speaker she specialises in hilarious talks about juggling
her life as a broadcaster and mother of five. She has chaired
conferences on subjects as diverse as banking, energy and
science for schools.
